Fluid extraction has been used recently to sample preparation on an analytical scale. This technique is quite similar to Soxhlet extraction except, which the solvent utilized is a supercritical fluid, substance over its pressure and temperature. This fluid gives a wide range of useful properties. The prime advantage of using this process is the eradication of organic solvents, thus decreasing the problems of their disposal and storage in the laboratory. Moreover, various legislative protocols have suggested a curtailment in the use of organic solvents that can harm environment. Various studies have proved that fluid extraction is a replacement method for traditional gravimetric techniques.
